Cleo's Kingdom Colubrids was founded in 2014 by Laura Britvec and her husband Brian. A health crisis turned Laura's life upside down in 2013 and took her out of her beloved middle school classroom where she had taught for nearly 2 decades, yanking her away from the students she adored. Her class pet corn snake Cleo randomly laid nonviable eggs one year, so during her (unknown at the time) final year teaching she bred Cleo as a classroom project, and unknowingly, a new passion began to form alongside her newly gifted life.
