About Me
LaToya Scott, Certified Autism & Neurodiversity Life Coach, Author, Parent Advocate, and Homeschool Mom, is the CEO and Founder of JuSco’s Special Abilities Recreation Center (JSARC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the special needs community. Under her leadership, JSARC provides inclusive, affordable programs and support services designed to uplift families, promote life-skills development, and create a safe, welcoming environment where individuals of all abilities can thrive. LaToya’s passion is rooted in her unwavering commitment to ensure that every family, regardless of ability, has access to the financial resources, care, and community they deserve.
LaToya's journey began in 1999 at Trinity Christian College, where she worked in the disability department during her undergraduate studies. There, she discovered her life’s calling while engaging with the vibrant and diverse individuals within the special needs community. She later earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Economics and built a strong foundation in Human Resources before further advancing her advocacy through a Certificate in Parent Leadership and Advocacy.
As a mother of a neurodivergent child, LaToya’s work is deeply personal. She is committed to supporting families navigating similar journeys. The creation of JSARC was born out of her desire to meet the unique needs of her own son and to provide accessible, affordable, and meaningful services for families like hers. Understanding the life-changing impact of affordable therapies, community support, and inclusive programming, LaToya’s mission centers on providing high-quality, low-cost opportunities that strengthen families and promote independence.
LaToya is dedicated to advocating, educating, empowering, supporting, and serving the special abilities community through comprehensive financial scholarships for therapy needs, recreational programs, caregiver support services, and life-enriching initiatives. With a heart for service and a vision for inclusion, she remains committed to ensuring that no need is left behind.
