Hello, and thank you for joining me on my journey. My name is Charmain and I love making things that bring others joy. ❤️ Over 20 years as a graphic designer has made me realise that being in creative overdrive is pretty much my default mode ⚙️, but rather than look for an off-switch, I chose to embrace it and naturally broadened my horizons to include handmade craft. For many years, opening a gift shop has been one of my biggest dreams. My other lifelong wish is to travel into space 🚀, but I think we can all agree that for now it's best to start from the ground up! ✨

Like most independent sellers, crafting began as a hobby for me. Initially, all I wanted to do was add a few personal touches to presents for friends and family 🎁 but pretty soon I was bursting with ideas and many Blue Peter moments later, Cocoon UK was born. 🦋

I did a very brief trial run before Christmas in 2015, and all my items were quickly sold out. After a prolonged hiatus due to other commitments, I am now back again to re-launch my shop - etsy.com/uk/shop/CocoonUK. 🎉 As you can tell, I am still very new to running a business and for the time-being, can only produce a small volume of stock (including digital downloads - more on Etsy), though I plan to introduce other products very soon, so please be patient and bear with me! 🙏

Perhaps my castle is just one of the multitudes already in the sky... Perhaps my shop won't take off at all, but I'd still like to think I've put a smile on a few faces. 😊
