Wormwood Wallet

Wormwood Wallet © 2024 Cork and Copper Designs

The Wormwood Wallet is a great beginner pattern. A sleek wallet with a back ID holder, 2 or 4 card slots, paper money slot or 2 back slip pockets, and 1 or 2 receipt holders. This compact, versatile wallet has instructions for 18 ways of sewing it, however the combinations are almost endless! This wallet is perfect for everyone, especially great for a night out, or quick trip up town. The Wormwood Wallet is a satisfying and quick sew, and a great scrap buster, or market filler. If you are like me, I always have so many scraps that need to be used. The included cut files make them a breeze to cut! Each of the 18 versions has a corresponding color-coded grouping in the cut files, and chart for helping hand cut.

The Wormwood Wallet is drafted for use with domestic sewing machines. I have a Pfaff Quilt Expressions 710 and Pfaff Quilt Expression 3.5. I try to make things that do not need an industrial machine, even though I have an industrial Juki-DDL 8100 eH/x. The thickest layers sewn through when making the Wormwood Wallet depends on the materials used. Test your machine with scraps of different materials to see what it can do!

There are detailed instructions for every technique, along with “TIPS”, “NOTES”, tricks, and plenty of diagrams. This pattern has diagram Instructions, not pictures; however, there are plenty of pictures in the Photo Gallery.

TIP: Thin stretchy Leather or Vinyl are not recommended. However, be mindful of the thickness when choosing options and materials. Test your machine before starting.

TIP: Iron on or HTV is a great product as its thin and won’t add bulk.
