Master Advanced Problem-Solving with PSLE & Prelim Questions
This workshop focuses on high-weightage heuristics and advanced problem-solving strategies commonly tested in school exams, prelims, and PSLE.
We break down challenging concepts such as complicated Before & After scenarios and tricky Quantity × Value variations into simple, manageable steps that students can actually apply.
Through carefully selected PSLE and school prelim questions, students will learn how to:
✅ Identify important keywords in problem sums
✅ Recognise common question patterns
✅ Choose the correct solving method
✅ Apply strategies confidently to unfamiliar exam questions
Perfect for P5 to P6 students who understand the basics but need help bridging the gap between learning a concept and applying it to tougher exam-style questions.
✨ P5 students are welcome to join selected sessions if they are ready for more challenging problem-solving practice. For questions involving percentages or ratio, P5 students do not need prior mastery of these topics. I will guide them on how to convert the information into units or fractions first, so they can still follow the solving process confidently without needing advanced percentage or ratio methods.
What Students Will Do During Each Workshop
Students will complete 12 carefully selected questions with me during the session.
These questions are grouped into 6 common question types
(2 questions per type):
Guided Question
I will walk students through:
- Identifying keywords
- Understanding what the question is asking
- Choosing the correct method
- Solving step-by-step clearly
Independent Practice Question
Students will then attempt a similar question independently during class and submit their work for:
✔ Marking
✔ Feedback
✔ Immediate correction
This helps students learn the concept and apply it immediately.
