About Me

Marcus “Cus” Campbell or (better known as) “CusCampbell” is a trombonist originally from Boston, Massachusetts who has already made a significant impact online as a versatile and highly skilled trombonist, producer, artist, and composer.

CusCampbell began making hip-hop cover videos primarily for his Instagram during his freshman year at Berklee College of Music and it was an immediate success. In only a few years CusCampbell has received praise online from artists such as Big Sean, Russ, Joyner Lucas, All Time Low, Mike Stud, Marc E Bassy, Arizona Zervas and many more.

Over the years "CusCampbell” has studied with Wycliffe Gordon and Marshall Gilkes, both two of the top ranked jazz trombonists in the world. While at Berklee, CusCampbell also studied with grammy-nominated artist and accomplished educator Tia Fuller who also played alongside Beyoncé

in her all-female band.

CusCampbell graduated from Berklee College of Music in May of 2020 with a degree in Music Business/Management. Within 6 months of graduating, Disney featured CusCampbell in a virtual jam session with global sensation Jon Batiste, highly acclaimed bassist/artist Nik West along with 3 other viral TikTok musicians for a TikTok campaign to promote the new Disney Pixar movie “Soul”. CusCampbell’s video was placed in a collage with Jon Batiste playing piano who was also the band leader of the project.

At the end of 2020, CusCampbell was also featured on a Facebook special called “PEACE OUT 2020” where Snoop Dogg introduced 3 different cover videos (including CusCampbell’s video) for the hit song Savage by Megan Thee Stallion. The event specifically took place to showcase music creation during the unprecedented times that unfolded during the covid-19 pandemic. The event was live streamed by over 10 million people worldwide.

CusCampbell hopes to give the trombone a name for itself as he continues to expand the bounds of the trombone through jazz, hip-hop, classical, as well as many other genres and styles. He plans to achieve this through his original material, collaborations, exciting content online, live performances and (most importantly) his unique skills as an artist.
