Lets Begin!

Hi, I'm So Glad You're Here (Also, IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING??!)

Hey hey, welcome to the very first blog post on Daisy Drop Designs! I’m Daisy — creator of the Color-Coded Kids Daily Visual Planner and mom of two little tornadoes disguised as children. If you’re here, it probably means you’ve googled something like “how to get my child to do literally anything without a meltdown” or “is it normal to forget what day it is when you're a mom?” To which I say: YES. You’re in the right place.

So let’s talk about this magical, sanity-saving, peace-bringing planner that somehow came out of my sleep-deprived, snack-fueled brain.

The Chaos That Sparked the Color Coding

I didn’t set out to make a planner. I just wanted to drink a hot cup of tea without someone asking me to open a juice box or find a missing sock. But every day was starting to feel like Groundhog Day… except with more glitter and way less control.

My then 4-year-old was struggling with routines — and honestly, so was I. I needed something that visually showed him what to expect without me repeating instructions like a broken robot mom. And I needed something that worked — that made mornings less wild and bedtimes less... emotional (you know what I mean).

Enter: the Color-Coded Kids Daily Visual Planner.

What Even Is It?

It’s a simple, cute, color-coded system that helps kids SEE their day. YELLOW means morning stuff. GREEN is for school/prep. BLUE is fun/play. PURPLE is quiet time and wind-down. PINK is night routine. Visual cues, cards, and a layout that actually makes sense to little brains (and tired big ones).

It’s fun. It’s predictable. And it's honestly the only reason I haven’t accidentally sent my kid to school in pajama bottoms. (Well… not again.)

Why I Love It (And Why You Might Too)

  • It gives kids a sense of control — and they love that.
  • It reduces the 1000-question mornings.
  • It makes transitions less tricky (goodbye “BUT I WAS PLAYING!” arguments).
  • And best of all? It helps moms find a little calm in the daily chaos.

Seriously, once we started using this planner, it felt like my house took a deep breath. We weren’t perfect, but we were less flustered, more connected, and even had time to dance in the kitchen (yes, there’s a card for that).

This Isn’t Just a Planner. It’s a Life Raft.

I made this because I needed it. It wasn’t Pinterest-perfect. It started as scraps of paper taped to the fridge. But it grew. It worked. And now, I want to share it with other moms, dads, caregivers, and anyone else out there trying to survive toddlerhood with their last three brain cells intact.

So thank you for being here. Thank you for reading. And thank you for caring enough to find new ways to show up for your kids (and yourself).

Here’s to less chaos, more calm, and color-coded everything.
