About Me
Darlene Thorne, MDiv has been devoted to life change with a mission to teach girls to women how to practice personal self care body, soul and spirit. This however, has not come without a price. As a teen she led a very promiscuous life, she was at odds with her mother and felt abandoned by her father. Not until she had a personal encounter with the Father, did she experience a real life change.
She now uses her company, A Heart After the Father, L.L.C., and her Vision/Christian Coach
certification to reach those who struggle with self esteem and identity issues helping them to uncover their hidden treasures to use their gifts to impact those they have been called to reach. Darlene has most recently become a Certified Coach/Mentor and uses these tools to impact the lives of women leaders in ministry to practice good self-care and insure that they put themselves first on their "TO DONE" list!
Darlene has traveled extensively as an international speaker and a transformation catalyst speaking at conferences and facilitating workshops and symposiums. With a focus on total self care, she delivers a message of life change from the inside out! Featured on television, radio and live sessions, a clear, life-changing message that motivates.
As a published author, Darlene has written several books, A Heart After the Father, a daily devotional, The Goliath Within and Refresh, Refill, Renew a 30 Day Devotional and Journal. She has co-authored a book, When Dark Chocolate is Bittersweet, Controversy within a Culture and has participated in two anthologies, Shine: Hidden No More and Crystal Clear.
She and her husband, Kevin Thorne, serve together as pastors at Renewal Community Church in Clayton, NC. They have two world changer young adults, Kevin, II and Kennedy Elayne.
