David "Chet" Williamson Sneade is a writer and musician who was born and raised in Worcester, MA, Jaki’s hometown. He is the author of the Jazz Worcester Real Book, Jackson’s First Blues Harp, Woodshed and Fire, and Jazzriffing on a Lost Worcester. As the former A&E Editor of Worcester Magazine, he has interviewed and written about Mr. Byard extensively. As a jazz and blues musician, Williamson has had to good fortune to work with some of Jaki’s boyhood pals and early bandmates. He now lives in Holliston, MA with his wife, Cynthia, and dog, Splash.
