About Me
Hi, I'm Courtney.
I'm not a doctor. I'm not a medical researcher. I'm someone whose life was forever changed by learning how important it is to advocate for your own breast health.
After navigating my own breast health journey—including countless appointments, imaging studies, difficult decisions, and ultimately DIEP flap reconstruction—I realized something that shouldn't be true:
- Too many people are expected to make life-changing medical decisions without having the tools, questions, or confidence they need.
- Women are still lacking safe spaces to talk about breasts for fear of online creeps.
That's why I created Diep Flap Courtney on TikTok. After over a year of sharing my story, I found that I was building something more than an online diary...I was building a community. And that community was desperate for resources. That's what led to the digital resources you'll find here.
This store is filled with the resources I wish I had from the very beginning—conversation guides, advocacy workbooks, tracking tools, educational resources, and practical templates designed to help you become an informed, empowered partner in your own care.
My mission isn't to tell you what decisions to make.
My mission is to help you ask better questions.
Because informed patients have better conversations.
Better conversations often lead to better care.
And better care can change lives.
Everything you'll find here is created with one goal in mind: helping you feel less overwhelmed and more prepared—whether you're newly identified as high risk, facing additional testing, considering surgery, recovering from reconstruction, or supporting someone you love.
Breast health isn't one-size-fits-all, and neither is advocacy.
I believe every person deserves to understand their options, feel heard by their healthcare team, and make decisions based on knowledge rather than fear.
Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your journey. It is truly my greatest honor to hear from countless women who share the appreciation for the content and resources I continue to share.
Here's to asking the next question.
Here's to advocating for yourself.
And here's to making sure no one has to navigate breast health alone.
With love,
— Courtney
