SXM day collection now available

The 11th of November is Saint Martin’s day in which the people of the island come together on both side to celebrate their national day. This holiday commemorates the sighting of the island by Christopher Columbus on this day in 1493. The famous legend of the island is that in oder to settle on how the island would be separated two soldiers walk for the same point called Mont des Accords. Therefore what ever the french solder walk on would be the French side, and what ever the Dutch soldier would walk on would be the Dutch side. This would be established by the treaty of Mont des Accords Concordia in 1648.
