It's March 1st in my part of the world. I can't believe we are two months into 2022 already, and it is finally starting to feel like spring here!
I just wanted to connect with you during March about some amazing resources that can support you in your home, health, self-care, and more!
Everybody is busy! Am I right? And it just seems that things keep getting busier.
I will be writing more than usual this month because I love organizing and being organized. A lot of my attention is focused on that. I organize my home, my businesses, my job, my learning, my writing, my creating, and myself. That's a lot, but it is necessary so that my life works efficiently and I don't lose track of the important stuff.
Like you, unsurprisingly, I have:
- systems that work (hooray!)
- systems that need tweaking to suit my situation (hmmm)
- systems that aren't really doing the job (oops!)
That means that over the years, I have found some absolutely brilliant resources, many of them free. This month, I will share those resources and give you a little look into the systems that work for me. I will also share how I am doing with my own self-challenge this month of improving systems that need adjusting to suit me in my current situation. I will also try to implement some of the systems that aren't really doing the job so I can either tweak them or acknowledge that they just won't work for me.
One of the important things for me is that I can break things down into ten or fifteen minute chunks. If I plan for more than that in something that I hate doing (like cleaning), it seems too overwhelming. One of the things that really works for helping me organize and cleaning my home is The Flylady System, because The Flylady teaches us to clean and organize in little chunks of time. Consistently. She also reminds us to ditch the perfectionist attitude that we have, and that done is a whole lot better than not done.
