Dr. Veronica Broomes is a business founder, sustainability expert, and advocate for responsible business practices. As the leader of the Sustainability Support Service (a brand of Peak Homes Yorkshire) and Operations Director at a serviced accommodation company, she brings a wealth of expertise to businesses seeking to integrate sustainability.

With over 20 years of experience across various sectors in the UK and internationally, Dr. Broomes specialises in sustainability strategy, business development, and capacity building. She established the Sustainability Support Service to assist businesses in reducing carbon footprints, adopting sustainable practices, and enhancing their competitiveness. Through an innovative online Sustainability Audit portal, her company delivers tailored action plans to help businesses achieve their sustainability goals. In 2024, she launched an online Sustainability Summit for SMEs, further championing best practices.

A lifelong learner, she holds a PhD in Plant Science from the University of Sheffield and an LLM in Law from The Open University. She is also an active member of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (formerly IEMA) and the UK’s Federation of Small Businesses.
