About the Author
I am a professional dog trainer with a background in animal welfare, shelter behavior, and hands-on animal care. I am Fear Free Certified and use positive reinforcement methods rooted in patience, clear communication, and an understanding of how dogs learn.
Throughout my career, I have worked with dogs of many ages, breeds, and temperaments, including puppies, fearful dogs, reactive dogs, and dogs experiencing behavioral challenges. My experience includes developing individualized training and behavior plans, teaching foundation skills, supporting socialization and confidence building, and helping owners better understand their dogs’ body language and needs.
I believe successful training is about much more than teaching cues. My goal is to help owners understand why behaviors happen, recognize what their dogs are communicating, and make thoughtful training decisions in everyday life. Through Elisabet’s Dog Walking, Training & Pet Sitting, I provide compassionate, individualized care and training designed to strengthen the relationship between pets and their people.
I created Think Like a Trainer to give puppy owners practical, science-based tools for raising confident, well-mannered companions through trust, consistency, and positive reinforcement.
