I founded Empowered Way of Life Therapy to create a space where depth is welcomed, risk is assessed thoughtfully, and trauma is treated with precision rather than panic.

With over 15 years of clinical experience, my work spans community mental health, crisis and emergency assessment, domestic violence evaluation, substance use treatment, developmental disabilities coordination, foster care systems, and private practice psychotherapy. I have worked in homes, court systems, schools, community agencies, and high-risk environments.

This breadth matters.

It allows me to see patterns clearly.

It allows me to assess risk accurately.

It allows me to understand both individual pain and systemic complexity.

I do not believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I believe in structured assessment, thoughtful pacing, and deep listening.

In addition to my clinical practice, I provide ethical and structured supervision for Limited and Associate Level Counselors across Michigan, Arizona, and Virginia. Supervision, to me, is not merely a licensure requirement. It is the cultivation of competence, ethical discernment, and professional integrity. I support clinicians in strengthening case conceptualization, documentation standards, trauma-informed intervention development, and high-risk assessment skills.

My professional philosophy is simple: empowerment is not about forcing decisions. It is about restoring self-trust.

Many clients arrive questioning their instincts. They may have experienced gaslighting, coercive control, emotional manipulation, or long-term relational instability. Healing is allowed to unfold without external reporting structures shaping the narrative.

I am licensed in Michigan, Arizona, and Virginia, and I serve adults navigating trauma, complex relational histories, and identity reconstruction.
