Where Culture Meets Communication

I come from organizing, not advertising. My work turns real-world struggles into visual narratives that people can see, feel, and act on.

Ernest Floyd Jr.

Organizer • Communications • Visual Storytelling

I am Ernest, a community organizer and communications worker. I do not come from marketing. I come from movement spaces, union halls, and conversations where people are trying to make sense of systems that were not built for them.

For more than a decade, I have helped unions, nonprofits, and grassroots groups turn real-world struggles into messages people can actually hear, feel, and move with. Ernest Leone is where that work lives. A studio built to turn culture into communication and communication into action.

What I Do...

I help movements communicate.

I work with unions, nonprofits, and community organizations to turn complex issues into messages people can understand and connect with.

My work includes:

  • Digital and social media messaging
  • Campaign and advocacy visuals
  • Story driven graphic design
  • Community centered communications
  • Coalition and partner messaging

Whether it is a rally, a digital campaign, or a piece of cover art, everything I create is designed to move people, not just look good.

Why This Work Looks Like Art

My work is shaped by Afrofuturism, Southern Black culture, and the visual traditions of Africa and the diaspora. That is because movements do not just need information. They need identity, imagination, and emotional truth. I use layered composition, symbolism, and cultural references to build images that feel alive. Each piece is meant to hold history, spirit, and the present moment at the same time. That is why my designs feel like more than graphics. They are visual stories made to be felt, remembered, and shared.
