Eleven years ago, when my children were 8, 6, and 3 years old, I wrote the first draft of What's Up?  I shelved the idea and moved on to a variety of other creative projects—until two years ago, when I stumbled upon that first draft again. I realized that the story wasn't just for children; it was as much for parents as well. I believe every parent will recognize themselves in Ella's journey—growing up in a world where everyone simply accepts what they're told, and no one dares to question anything.
