Release of Part 1 of my lecture notes!

Now available in the shop!

I decided to split up the contents of my lecture notes because they ended up being more like a book. I realised not everyone might be interested in the holdout or the applications with the steals and loads, so it seemed better to split it up into sections. This way, everyone can decide for themselves what they want to commit to. There will be references to other parts of the lecture notes, but I always tried to give an alternative in case you did not purchase that part.

Here’s a little guide:

Part 1: Building Blocks

The most accessible material of the lecture notes, containing the basis for everything else. This part introduces some of the core techniques used throughout the notes, and expands on what I look for when working on moves/effects/routines.

Part 2: Explorations (coming soon)

Here I go over some of the handlings and ideas I have found, to kickstart your own explorations. Many of them are applications of the elements in part 1, others are developments that came out of those elements, and sometimes they are just extreme representations of what is possible.

Part 3: Everyday holdout (coming soon)

This will require the biggest commitment of the material in the notes, but has great potential. Here I introduce the armpit holdout, and expand on on how to get comfortable with it, choreographies to get in and out of the holdout and general do’s and don’ts.
