About Me
Derrick Forston is the founder of Second Chance Housing, LLC. Second Chance Housing is a program that creates pathways out of homelessness, by providing a clean and safe living environment for homeless adults. A compassionate individual, before venturing into Second Chance Housing, Derrick worked as a social worker/discharge planner at Park Place Behavioral Health in Kissimmee, FL. Once realizing how harsh the living conditions were in most group homes, he was exceedingly passionate about rescuing the homeless population and changing how they live.
After two years of researching and educating himself, Derrick moved on to launch his own group home in October 2018. Presently, Second Chance Housing LLC along with Forston Consultants has over 90 locations throughout Florida, Georgia, Alabama, New Jersey and Texas.
With over a decade of working experience in mental health and substance abuse clients, his passion goes beyond giving aid to the homeless; he also believes in enriching the lives of others through knowledge and opportunities.
Today, he offers classes and personal consultation mentoring individuals on how to open their own group home through Forston Consultants, LLC.
