About Me

Welcome to Grammie's Way of Teaching

Hello and welcome! I’m Grammie, the creator, crafter, and lifelong learner behind this storefront. Based in the lively, community-rich heart of Lake Charles, Louisiana, I started this journey to share my love for hands-on creativity, connection, and education.

What I Do

I believe that the best learning comes from imagination and a personal touch. Here in my shop, you will find a blend of carefully crafted items and resources designed with heart. My hands are always busy—whether I am painting custom wooden cutouts, designing personalized holiday ornaments, or putting together materials that bring a spark of joy to everyday learning.

My Inspiration

Everything I create is deeply inspired by family, lifelong bonds, and the vibrant culture around me. The festive, communal spirit of local Mardi Gras celebrations often finds its way into my colorful designs. More importantly, my work is rooted in the people I love. From the cherished memories of raising my own children and being deeply involved in my grandchildren and great grandchildren's lives.I know that the most meaningful things we build are for others.

Always Learning

I firmly believe that "Grammie's way" means understanding you are never done growing. I am constantly continuing my education through self exploration on the internet and choosing to constantly researching a plethora of things and dedicating my life to exploring everything around me. I extend that same dedication to discovery and curiosity into every item in this store, and I hope they inspire you to keep exploring, too.
