About Me
📖 ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hi, I'm Andrew — a software developer based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. I build tools that solve real problems, and Survival Bible started as one of them.
My home office is shared with Mukha, my cat. She supervises my code, helps me debug (mostly by sitting on the keyboard), and reminds me to take breaks. Without her, this app would probably still be a half-finished prototype. With her, it shipped to four stores.
I live in a city at the foot of the mountains, surrounded by forests, deserts, and steppe — the perfect reminder that nature is closer than we think.
🛠 WHY I BUILT THIS
I've always been fascinated by one question: what happens when an unprepared person meets an extreme situation?
It could be a tourist who took a wrong turn in the mountains. A hiker who underestimated the weather. A city dweller caught in a natural disaster, civil unrest, or armed conflict. Someone who wandered off the trail by accident — or walked into it on purpose.
Most of these people have a phone. Few have internet. Almost none have the knowledge they need at that exact moment.
That's the gap Survival Bible was built to close.
🌍 WHAT'S INSIDE
Survival Bible covers eight practical categories of life-critical knowledge:
🌲 Wilderness Survival
Water: how to find it, collect it, purify it
Food: what to forage, how to store it safely
Shelter: building emergency cover in any climate
Navigation: orient yourself without GPS
Tools & improvisation: making what you need from what you have
🏙 Urban Emergencies (the section I'm most proud of)
Natural disasters in megacities
Riots and civil unrest — what to do, where to go
Armed conflict zones — civilian survival basics
Because more and more people live in big cities, this knowledge matters more than ever
🏥 First Aid
Emergency medical assistance when help is far away
🌿 Flora & Fauna
Useful plants and animals — what's safe to eat or use
Dangerous flora and fauna — what to avoid at all costs
✨ KEY FEATURES
📵 Fully offline — works without internet, without signal, anywhere on Earth
Bilingual — full content in Russian and English, switchable on the fly
📱 Mobile-first — designed for Android, fast and lightweight (12 MB)
🎯 Structured for emergencies — multiple solutions per problem (Method 1, 2, 3…) so you can pick what fits your situation
🔍 Instant search — find what you need in seconds, not minutes
🎨 Built for stress — dark, high-contrast interface that stays readable in any lighting
👥 WHO IT'S FOR
Hikers and outdoor enthusiasts — even the most casual ones
Travelers visiting unfamiliar regions
City residents in disaster-prone areas — earthquakes, floods, civil unrest
Anyone who wants to be less helpless when things go wrong
You don't need to be a survivalist. You don't need to be military. You just need a phone and this app.
💬 A NOTE FROM ME
I made Survival Bible because I wanted a tool that works when nothing else does. No ads, no subscriptions, no tracking. Just knowledge, in your pocket, in two languages, ready when you need it.
If it helps even one person stay safe, Mukha and I will consider the project a success.
