Gena is a Singer-Songwriter born & raised in Milwaukee, WI who was destined to be a music artist and entertainer. Coming from a musically talented Family with strong roots in the Gospel music scene, it was no surprise she began singing in the church choir at 6 years old. 

Gena’s Mother often recalls the day she brought Gena home from the hospital after she was born and the dozens of people from their neighborhood who came to see her. Her Parents couldn’t understand it but knew there was something special about her that could draw people to her. 

Since her early years, she has had a fire for conveying emotion through song which eventually turned into a passion for writing them. After being offered song placements with a Country music label at age 15, she began ghostwriting for other music artists. Due to her eclectic love of many genres of music, she can effortlessly blend R&B, Country, Soul, Hip & Hop & Pop with a unique approach all her own. It can be heard in her vocal style and in the vivid storytelling of what she calls, “real life experiences that shaped me into me over my 36 years of living.” Those real life experiences include grief, heartbreak and self discovery.

Having performed at many music events & talent showcases, her stage presence is both dynamic & alluring. Be on the lookout for her debut upcoming EP titled, Concrete Rose which will be released on August 8, 2025 on all digital platforms.
