Born from my love for crochet, Gerritses Crochet began with amigurumi insects; when I couldn't find a suitable honey bee pattern, I designed one myself, sparking a new direction with intricate designs like grasshoppers and dragonflies.

However, I struggled to stay focused on amigurumi until I discovered mosaic crochet. The technique captivated me with its neat, stacked stitches, and I found it easy to maintain my concentration. My first mosaic design, 'Roar,' was co-designed with my 8-year-old son and became the first blanket I ever managed to complete.

Creating these blankets and designing patterns is incredibly satisfying. My mosaic portfolio continues to grow, and I look forward to sharing many more patterns with you.
