A quick and easy holly pattern to add to your festive decorations!
You will need:
Green yarn
Red yarn
Crochet hook (size appropriate to the chosen yarn)
Polyfill
Darning needle
Scissors
Ensure both yarn colours are of the same thickness.
Berry
1. 6 sc in magic ring
2. Inc x 6
3-5. 12 sc (3 rounds)
Stuff
6. Dec x 6
Cut yarn and thread through the 6 front loops and pull to close. Fasten off end, weave in and cut yarn.
On your third berry, fasten off and leave a long tail for assembly.
Leaves
1. Chain 11
2. Sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 hdc sc, (sc, ch 2, sc in last chain)
Turn work and continue down other side of chain
2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc,
3. Sl into first stitch, ch 1 and sl into same stitch
(sc, picot, sc, sl) x 3
(sc, picot, sc into 2 chain space)
sl, (sc, picot, sc, sl) x 3
1st leaf, cut yarn, fasten off and weave in tail
2nd leaf, cut yarn, fasten off and leave long tail for assembly
Assembly
Use the long tail on the last berry to sew the 3 berries together.
Use the long tail on the last leaf to sew the leaves to the back of your berry cluster.
