I'm Nick.
I flip houses. I own a plumbing company. I'm the executive director of a nonprofit. Husband. Father. Busy. I'm not a trainer, and I'm not a fitness model.
In 2022 I weighed 281 pounds. There's a photo of me on the floor on Christmas morning with my wife and my daughter, and what I remember about that morning isn't the presents — it's how hard it was to get back up.
I hired a coach. $3,500 and a program so detailed my wife had to help me follow it. It worked — I got down to 204 by March 2023. Then it ended, and so did everything I'd been doing, because none of it was built to survive a normal life. Two years later I was back at 230.
I settled at 210 and told myself that was fine. It wasn't. Not for how I looked — for how I felt, and for where my health was headed. So I hired another coach, spent $1,600 more, and got to 189. That worked too. It was also, again, harder than it needed to be.
That's over $5,000 and three years to learn something that fits on one page: the first 30 days don't have to be complicated. They have to be simple enough that you actually do them.
So I built what I wish someone had handed me in 2022. No weights, because I couldn't have used them. Food that isn't perfect, but is a whole lot better than what I was eating. Two meals, six snacks, one workout, five habits, thirty days. Every decision already made.
There's no secret in any of it. That's the point — the guide just saves you the part I hated: the deciding, the measuring, the guessing in the grocery store.
I don't train like this anymore — these days it's heavy kettlebells and harder programs. But that's the point: this is where you start, not where you stay.
Run these 30 days. Then run them again if you want — keep doing this as long as it's working, and it will keep working. You'll feel it. But eventually the day comes when it stops being enough, when you're ready to add weight and push harder. That day is the goal. You have to get there, and you don't get there by starting there. You get there by doing something simple long enough that your body and your head are ready for more.
That's what this is. Not a transformation program. A to-do list, and a starting line.
You don't think. You just follow.
