About Me

Real-world knowledge. Practical advice. Lessons worth sharing.

Hi, I’m Winston Goode, creator of Goode Knowledge.

I’m a trained automotive technician and an honors graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute in Union, New Jersey, in Automotive Technology. I later completed the Mercedes-Benz USA ELITE Technician Apprentice Training Program, gaining hands-on experience working with vehicles at a professional level.

Even after leaving the automotive industry professionally, friends and family continued calling me when they needed advice about repairs, buying a vehicle, or simply figuring out whether a car was worth their hard-earned money.

Over the years, I’ve gone with people to look at vehicles before they purchased them. That experience showed me something important: many everyday buyers simply don’t know what to look for. A clean car, a convincing seller, and a quick test drive don’t always tell the whole story.

That’s one of the reasons I created LOOK BEFORE YOU BUY — The Used-Car Confidence Kit, a practical guide designed to help everyday buyers approach a used-car purchase with more knowledge and confidence. You can also view my automotive training certificates on the product page.

I’m not here to turn you into a mechanic. My goal is to share practical, real-world knowledge that can help you slow down, ask better questions, recognize potential warning signs, and make more informed decisions before spending your hard-earned money.

And automobiles are only the beginning.

Goode Knowledge is about taking lessons learned through real-life experience and turning them into useful information that can help somebody else.

If something I’ve learned can save you time, save you money, reduce frustration, or help you make a better decision, then it’s knowledge worth sharing.
