Desirée and Deryle, a North Carolina couple who married in 2015, have always loved travel, exploring places like Thailand, China, Japan, the Netherlands, Bermuda, Mexico, and Europe.

In 2021, their son’s arrival changed their lives, but growing concerns about violence in the U.S. led them to rethink their future. After careful deliberation, they sold their home and moved to Mexico.

Though familiar with Mexico as tourists, living there was new. Research led them to Mexico City—a vibrant, culture-rich metropolis with direct flights to NC for family ties.

Now, the Daniels family is thriving, embracing life abroad.
