About Me
About Me
Hi, I'm Kelly.
I'm a divorced mom, a founder, and someone who knows firsthand how overwhelming family-law situations can become.
I've been on the receiving end of the advice so many parents hear:
“Document everything.”
The problem is, nobody really tells you how.
What do you do with the screenshots? The text messages? The schedule changes? The school issues? The phone calls? The things that happened three months ago that you know you'll need to remember?
I've struggled with that myself, and I've seen countless other parents ask the exact same question.
So I started building tools to solve the problems I was experiencing.
Burden of Proof was one of them.
I originally created it for myself and a friend who needed a better way to keep track of what was happening. As I built it, I realized the problem was much bigger than either of us.
People don't necessarily need another complicated piece of software.
Sometimes they just need a simple way to say:
“This happened. Here's when. Here's what I know. Here's the evidence. And here's where I put it.”
That's what Burden of Proof is designed to do.
I'm also working on a larger group of tools focused on making complicated family and life situations easier to navigate, with an emphasis on reducing overwhelm and helping people stay organized when their circumstances are anything but organized.
But everything starts with solving a real problem.
If I've learned anything from building these tools, it's that sometimes the best products start with a very simple question:
“Why doesn't something already exist that makes this easier?”
So I built it.
