I’m Hal — a veteran with a background in reconnaissance, an engineer, writer, and filmmaker.

After years spent observing, adapting, fixing machines, systems, and practical problems, I found myself drawn to a different kind of work: telling stories about people, memory, silence, loss, and the things we carry with us.

My writing explores estrangement, fatherhood, grief, regret, and unfinished conversations. My films and documentaries are shaped by travel, real places, and lived experience — including time spent filming in the Alps, where the mountains, weather, isolation, and movement all become part of the story.

This shop is where I’ll be sharing my written work, short films, documentaries, and future creative projects.
