About Me

My name is Sana' (pronounced Sun-awe) Keren Cynthia Noelle Watts.

It's great to meet you, or rather have you meet me.

I treasure you being here.

The most important thing about me is that I've been a follower of Jesus since June 2012. It's been a wild and amazing ride with Him ever since. That ride has included marriage to a godly man named Desmond and being a mama to our son, Dominic, and our daughter, Shiloh.

I have a deep love for sharing the message of Jesus as well as pouring into those who already believe and seeing their faith in Jesus grow. I did this with university students for a few years and am currently studying to integrate my spiritual care skills with psychotherapy. As I have personally struggled with mental illness, I have experienced the stigma of mental illness in faith communities firsthand. It is also known that there is an overrepresentation of therapists who are not spiritual or religious, which can make it difficult for Christians seeking help. That is why I want to be on the frontlines and provide a place that's safe from both kinds of judgement for those who have struggled like I have.

Writing has been an activity that I've loved for as long as I can remember. It started with poetry and songs and then in grade 4, it included writing stories. As someone with a difficult childhood, reading was always an escape from my reality. I counted it a privilege to provide an escape for anyone else; now, I see that my writing can be more than an escape! It can be a way that I share the love of Jesus and help people grow in their faith journeys. You might be wondering, why romance? I truly believe that the world needs stories of young women who love the Lord and navigate mental health challenges. Love stories that are steeped in prayer, Christian community and Biblical fidelity. It is a dream come true to have published books! I hope that my words would be a blessing to all who read them, yourself included.

When I'm not studying or writing, you can find me watching movies, reading, dancing (Zumba in particular) and eating cinnamon rolls. Feel free to sign up for my newsletter to have access to what I'm processing through in regards to life and faith.
