About Me
Rebecca Gassett, MSN, CPNP-PC, is a licensed Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Mental Health Specialist with over 25 years of healthcare and psychiatric experience. As the founder of Healthy Endeavors, a family-centered mental health practice in Arizona, Rebecca specializes in evaluating and treating ADHD, anxiety, executive functioning gaps, and complex behavioral needs in children, adolescents, and young adults.
Throughout her decades in clinical practice, Rebecca recognized a critical gap in available tools for childhood emotional regulation: children were often punished or shamed for behaviors caused by an overwhelmed nervous system. Guided by the clinical philosophy that "Regulation is a muscle that needs to be trained, not a lack of discipline," she created Spike Learns to Soften to provide families, school counselors, and clinicians with a safe, trauma-informed, and shame-free framework for de-escalating intense emotions.
Rebecca combines her advanced medical expertise with a compassionate, child-centered approach. By translating complex neurobiology into relatable desert metaphors—like "prickly spikes" and the "Saguaro Sip" breathing technique—she empowers children to separate their core identity from their behavioral struggles, preserving their self-esteem while teaching them how to find their inner calm.
When she isn't working directly with families in her clinic or conducting skills-based workshops, Rebecca can be found developing creative social-emotional learning resources to help the next generation step out of survival mode and thrive. Learn more at www.healthyendeavors.co.
