I'm Heath Hicks, founder of No BS Project Controls and Heath Hicks Consulting.

For more than 35 years, I've worked in the electrical, instrumentation, industrial construction, and project controls industries, building my career from the ground up. I started as an electrical helper and worked my way through nearly every level of the business—journeyman electrician, foreman, superintendent, estimator, project controls specialist, project manager, operations manager, and executive leadership.

That journey gave me something you can't learn in a classroom: an understanding of how projects actually succeed in the field.

Throughout my career, I've managed and supported projects ranging from small maintenance jobs to multi-million-dollar industrial construction projects across refineries, chemical plants, power facilities, manufacturing sites, and oil and gas operations throughout the United States and internationally.

Earlier this year, my life took an unexpected turn when I suffered a stroke. Recovery has been one of the greatest challenges I've ever faced, but it also reinforced something I already knew—knowledge only has value when it's shared.

That experience inspired me to dedicate even more time to consulting, mentoring, creating educational content, and writing books that help others succeed.
