About Me
Henry Hauck has worked for more than 40 years as a cameraman, director, and producer. After early years at ZDF and BR, he contributed to numerous cinema and TV productions, including Maximilian Schell’s Marlene (1984, Oscar-nominated) and Herbert Achternbusch’s Picasso in Munich (1997).
As a documentary filmmaker, he gained recognition with films such as Gegenwind (1987), Thermik – The Art of Flying (1989, award-winning), and Casa Guatemala – A Jungle Story (2006). His paragliding and sailing documentaries have been shown and awarded internationally.
His most recent works include Spurlos – Warum die Zeit keine Wunden heilt (2025), funded by Medienförderung Rheinland-Pfalz and Bezirkstag Pfalz, and the new project Learning to Survive – The Children of the Río Dulce, portraying the lives of former orphans in Guatemala.
