About Heri Mimi

Heri Mimi is a blessed force that initiates change!

Heri is a master builder of warriors, a prophetic mentor, and a pastor of youth, anointed to raise a fearless generation for Christ. Called to equip young men and women with spiritual fire, discipline, and divine purpose, she stands as a trainer of warriors who are bold in faith, unshaken by trials, and unstoppable in their pursuit of God’s Kingdom. With a shepherd’s heart and a warrior’s spirit, Heri ignites passion, courage, and resilience in the next generation - building not just believers, but battle-ready sons and daughters of destiny. She raises these warriors through her coaching consultancy, Shujaa Rising Consulting.

Heri is an ordained minister in the Anglican Church as well as the author of several books.

Heri has a Master's Degree in Armed Conflict and Peace Studies, a Bachelor's Degree in Media & Communication Technology with IT and a Diploma in Theology. She is also a Certified Mediator, a Certified Life Coach and Emotional Intelligence Practitioner. She is based in Mombasa, Kenya.

Arise African Youth!

Heri is a Youth Mentor with 20 years experience. As a youth leader she was selected to be part of the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship (2022) at the University of Georgia (GA, USA) where she was empowered with skills in Leadership Civic Engagement which she now uses to mentor other youth. She is passionate about empowering the youth of Africa to be change makers in their spheres of influence. Heri envisions an African continent where the youth engage in civic activities and the leadership of their nations. The African youth are the Shujaas!

Ilizwi Moja Africa

Heri is also the Co-Founder of Ilizwi Moja Africa. This is a platform founded by three Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni from Kenya, South African and the Kingdom of Eswatini, with the aim of giving the African youth a voice and stage to discuss pertinent issues. Ilizwi Moja Africa aims to empower African youth to be the leaders and the change makers in their communities. Currently, this is done through the Ilizwi Moja Africa Podcast

Heri has always loved singing. Heri believes in making a joyful noise unto the Lord. Heri hopes her joyful noise is also musical and pleasant to the ear :) She loves to do covers of songs as well as try her hand at writing originals.
