About Me

Tami Leffall is an author, songwriter, storyteller, and the co-creator of the Hidden Voices podcast. Her work is rooted in the belief that ordinary people carry extraordinary stories and that those stories deserve to be remembered. Drawing from a lifetime of service, leadership, family, community, and observation. Tammy is passionate about creating work that encourages people to think deeply, care more intentionally, and recognize the value they bring to the world.

She is the author of Thorns Prick, Rub Sage, and Lean In (Can You Feel The Shift), and the creator of several major works in progress, including Trinity's River, Seven Storms, and Fire Unfinished.

Lean In (Can You Hear It) is a unique blend of music and literature. More than a collection of songs, it is an invitation into the stories behind them—a series of conversations about family, community, justice, purpose, history, resilience, and the experiences that shape our lives. Through personal reflections, "Coffee Breaks," and music, Tammy offers one person's perspective on the world while encouraging readers to explore their own.

Throughout her career, Tammy has worked in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities, advocating for individuals, families, and underserved communities while helping build programs that strengthen lives. That commitment to service has profoundly shaped both her professional work and her creative voice.

She is equally at home writing fiction, nonfiction, historical fiction, essays, poetry, and songwriting, reflecting her belief that every story finds its own voice and every voice deserves to be heard. Regardless of the format, her work is united by a common purpose: to tell stories that honor people's humanity, celebrate resilience, preserve history, and encourage others to walk confidently in their own purpose.

When she isn't writing, you'll likely find her with a cup of coffee, a latte, or her favorite Honey Citrus Mint Tea, listening to music, developing new creative projects, or simply seeing the everyday moments that often become tomorrow's stories.

She believes every person has something meaningful to contribute, every community has stories worth preserving, and every generation has something to teach the next.

This is only one conversation. She hopes it won't be the last.
