I’m Louise, a qualified teacher with 16 years of classroom experience, including eight years as a senior leader responsible for whole-school English. I created Home-Ed Literacy to help home-educating families feel confident bringing reading, writing and learning into everyday life.
My approach is simple:

Every resource is built around a story. Some are original stories written especially for Home-Ed Literacy, while others are inspired by much-loved family-favourite published picture books, such as Funnybones.
Rather than teaching isolated subjects, each story provides a foundation for exploring reading, writing, vocabulary, creativity and the wider curriculum. Activities are designed with multi-age families in mind, so siblings of different ages can enjoy learning from the same story while working at an appropriate level.
