Hi, I’m Jessica.

I’m a mom, educator, social worker, and lifelong learner—and the creator of Honoring Brilliance.

With a doctorate in social work and years of experience teaching, mentoring, and thinking deeply about how people learn and grow, motherhood has given me a whole new place to put that curiosity into practice.

I created Honoring Brilliance to share the playful learning tools, activities, and resources I’m creating for my daughter, Sophia. They’re built around a simple belief: children are extraordinarily capable, and we don’t have to choose between protecting childhood and giving them a rich, challenging world to explore.

Everything here is designed to help parents make learning part of everyday life—through play, conversation, curiosity, independence, culture, language, and real-world experiences.

I’m not here to tell you the “right” way to parent. I’m simply sharing what we’re doing, what I’m creating, and what’s bringing learning to life in our home—so you can take what inspires you and make it your own.
