The Story Of Horizon

"When I first heard the music that would become Horizon, it struck me as something rare—an album that had been quietly gestating for years, built on a foundation of deeply personal moments and musical collaborations that shaped its sound. Lee Bradshaw’s vision for this project is one that spans time, rooted in the past but always pushing forward into new terrain.

What began as 3rd Horizon in 2004, with Lee working alongside Patrick Reale, Stuart James, and Quentin Edmonds, eventually expanded into a formidable collective of musicians. With Brett Garsed, the late Stuart Fraser, Angus Burchall, and longtime bandmate Rich Panaia, Horizon became more than a project; it evolved into a living, breathing reflection of their collective spirit.

There’s something profoundly moving about a record that has taken this long to arrive. It’s not just about the years spent in the studio or the numerous attempts to capture a sound that felt just right. It’s about the connections made between people, the collaboration, and the bond that’s formed through music, especially when that music is rooted in such deep history.

The release of this album feels more like a moment of reflection than celebration. It’s a tribute to Stuart Fraser, whose presence on this album cannot be overstated.

It’s a reminder that even in the face of uncertainty, great things endure, sometimes even against the odds. As the final notes of this album are now heard, we are grateful to have played a part in bringing it into the world. Horizon is not simply an album; it’s a statement, a testament to the power of collaboration, friendship, and the enduring nature of music itself."
