I went into the race with a fairly relaxed mindset — I’d take it as it came. I knew it was going to be extremely tough, but I also noticed I didn’t have that same uncompromising drive to push every second that I normally do in PRO.
During the run, the classic question popped up: why am I doing this? This time, the answer didn’t come as easily.
It was anything but easy. The sled felt like running straight into a wall, and the wall balls were a real fight. But on the train home I noticed something else: I felt proud. Not because of the result — but because I stood there again, and I got through it.
One thing hasn’t changed: I’m still drawn to real challenges. And that’s exactly what HYROX is.
