Showing up still counts - Keep stacking those small wins.

Something I’ve been thinking about more and more — in my own training and in conversations with runners and HYROX athletes — is how easy it is to slip into two extremes.

Either we push harder, optimise more, and squeeze the schedule tighter… or we freeze, question everything, and lose momentum completely. Both come from the same place: we’re trying to get training right.

But somewhere along the way, we forget that we’re not machines. We’re people — with stress, sleep debt, emotions, shifting work weeks, and motivation that rises and falls.

The truth is, training — like life — rarely works in straight lines. Often the problem isn’t discipline. It’s that the image we have of progress doesn’t match how it actually feels when we’re in it.

You can be doing a lot right — and still feel unsure. You can follow a plan — and still have weeks that don’t feel great.

Showing up still counts. Keep stacking those small wins.
