A short reflection on why waiting for the perfect time often makes it harder to start.
I was talking with a friend and client a few days ago about getting back into routines.
We got stuck on something most people recognize: why does it always feel more motivating to start on a Monday? A new week signals a kind of clean slate — a natural point to reset and commit.
But it’s also interesting how much power we give that feeling. How often we think, “It’s Thursday — too late to start now, I’ll begin fresh next week.” As if a midweek start somehow doesn’t count.
Sometimes that waiting for the “right day” is what makes it harder to start at all. Because the longer you wait, the more you start connecting training to perfect timing — instead of to the habit itself.
Thanks for reading — hope this reminds you that any day is a good day to start.
Kind regards,
Zebastian
