A few thoughts on what keeps you going when motivation just isn’t there.
Last week, I wrote about waiting for the “right time.” This time, I want to talk about something most of us face sooner or later — those periods when the motivation just isn’t there.
For most people, the challenge isn’t the workouts themselves, but everything around them — the decisions, the planning, the feeling of starting over again. What really matters in those moments is having something solid to lean on. A clear plan, a structured program, or simply someone to share the process with. It’s not about chasing motivation — it’s about reducing the mental friction when it’s gone or fades.
Motivation comes and goes — what matters is what keeps you going when it does.
Sometimes, that’s all it takes to stay on track.
