Lauren Freeman is a wife, mother, pastor’s wife, and devoted advocate for women who are learning to walk boldly in their faith–even when the road has been anything but straightforward.

She is the wife of Pastor Brandon Freeman, and together they lead IMRSN Church, a growing church plant in the Dallas–Fort Worth area committed to helping people live, love, and lead like Jesus. Lauren is a proud mother of two and a blended mother of four, navigating the beautiful seasons of watching her children grow into the people God designed them to be. Her faith was shaped early by the influence of her grandmother–a devoted woman of prayer who taught her that seeking God in every season was not optional, but the very foundation of a life that holds.

Before stepping fully into ministry, Lauren served as a seventh- and eighth-grade teacher, investing in young people with the same passion she now brings to the church. Recently, she took a leap of faith and left the classroom to serve alongside her husband, bringing her gifts for teaching, storytelling, and community-building into a new and expanding calling.

Lauren carries a deep love for women and a specific passion for what happens when generations come together–when the woman who has survived something reaches back for the one still in the middle of it. She believes testimony is one of the most powerful forces in the kingdom, and that some of the greatest healing in a community happens around a table where stories are told honestly and no one has to pretend.

I Went Through This For You is the expression of everything she believes about women, faith, pain, purpose, and the God who wastes nothing. It is the book she has known for a decade, she was going to write–and the one she is honored to share with you now.
