Ridwan Jamiu, the Chief Imam of Lekki Central, was born in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.

He obtains his primary and secondary education in Ilorin. He has a diploma in Arabic and Islamic Education from the Ahmadu Bello University ((ABU) Zaria after his Thanawiyya. He had his first degree in Shari'a and Common Law (LLB) from the University of Ilorin and his master's degree in Law (LLM) from the Bayero University of Kano. He's currently a PhD researcher.

Imam Ridwan Jamiu has authored more than 15 books in English and Arabic, many of which have been published.

He is a Hafiz (having memorised the entire Qur'an by heart). Imam Ridwan Jamiu is married with children.
