I'm Rachel Morton, an indie author writing across urban fantasy, paranormal romance, and British crime.

I love genres with a bit of edge to them, whether that's a shapeshifter causing trouble in a city that shouldn't exist, a slow-burn romance with something supernatural lurking underneath, or a proper British whodunnit with a body in the first chapter. I write the kind of stories I want to disappear into myself.

I'm a pantser through and through. I don't outline. I find the story as I write it, chasing the headlights rather than the whole road, and somehow it always gets me where I need to go.

When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me talking about the writing life on my podcast with Rob Radcliffe, or dictating my next book somewhere unexpected, in the car, on a dog walk, wherever the story catches up with me.
