Choose Your License: From Craft Room to Production Floor

PERSONAL LICENSE

Purpose:

For individuals who wish to enjoy and use the artwork for personal creative projects.

Availability:

Personal Licenses are available without a quantity limitation.

Permitted Uses:

• Personal crafting projects

• Sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, journaling, and home projects

• Creating personal gifts for friends and family

• Personal enjoyment of the artwork

Prohibited Uses:

• No commercial use.

• No selling products made with the artwork.

• No use for business purposes.

• No uploading artwork to third-party printing platforms.

• No sharing, transferring, gifting, or reselling digital files.

• No claiming artwork as original work.

• No print-on-demand services.

No use through third-party marketplaces, print-on-demand platforms, or automated fulfillment services such as

  • Printful
  • Printify
  • Redbubble-style marketplaces
  • Amazon Merch-style programs
  • and like shops.

• No manufacturing or production BUT if you need to print fabric overseas or with another company within your country to make something then you are allowed to do this. You can't print and sell. You can print and make for personal use.



A Personal License does not grant permission to create products for sale.


***Can I use a fabric printer?

Yes. You may utilize reputable third-party printing services to print materials for use in your handmade products. The printer is acting solely as a production service provider and does not receive any ownership or licensing rights to the artwork.

Printed materials produced under the Personal License must be used exclusively in the creation of the license holder's handmade products.

The sale, redistribution, wholesale, or supply of printed fabric, transfers, panels, yardage, blanks, or other printed materials as standalone supplies is strictly prohibited.

Personal Licenses do not permit the license holder to operate as a fabric supplier, print supplier, wholesale supplier, or distributor of printed materials.

The license holder remains responsible for ensuring that their chosen printing provider respects and protects the artwork and does not retain, reproduce, share, or otherwise misuse the artwork files.


So just a recap. You want fabric printed to make something for personal use or gifts etc? Sure go ahead! You just can't sell anything made with it. If you want to sell please purchase the Makers License.


MAKER LICENSE

Purpose:

For small handmade businesses creating artisan products on a limited scale.


Limited to 25 Maker Licenses per artwork design.

License Cost: One Time Fee

Individual artwork License $20

Premade Collection Bundle License $60

Unlimited Whole Shop License $500

Artwork purchased separately.


Permitted Uses:

• Create and sell finished handmade physical products.

• Sell products online, at markets, craft shows, or small retail locations.

• Use artwork within the license holder's own handmade business.

Production Requirements:

Products must be created by the licensed business and produced on a small scale.

The Maker License allows production by a maximum of two (2) individuals: The license holder and 1 additional helper, family member, or business partner

All production must remain in-house.

Prohibited Uses:

• No factories or manufacturing facilities.*

• No overseas production.*

• No wholesale manufacturing contracts.

• No outsourcing production.

• No sublicensing artwork.

• No allowing customers, clients, or other businesses to use the artwork.

• No resale or redistribution of digital files.

• No Third Party print-on-demand services.

No use through third-party marketplaces, print-on-demand platforms, or automated fulfillment services such as Printful, Printify, Redbubble-style marketplaces, Amazon Merch-style programs, and like shops.


Production Limit:

The Maker License is intended for small-batch handmade businesses. Businesses that exceed small-scale production or require outside manufacturing must upgrade to a Production License.

PRODUCTION LICENSE

Purpose:

For brands and companies requiring commercial manufacturing rights.


Production License Fee: All Licenses must be purchased at the same time artwork is purchased.


  • Individual artwork License is $40 (**When available**) ONE TIME FEE. No annual renewal


  • BUNDLE Collection License $120 ONE TIME FEE. No annual renewal


  • Whole shop license $2000 Unlimited NO ANNUAL RENEWAL One time fee


  • ANNUAL Whole Shop License $1000. ANNUAL RENEWAL


**If you do not see a "Production" option for a single file: it is NOT available. Print will only be available in a bundle unless it is sold out for production.

Artwork purchased separately.


Availability:

Limited to 10 Production License holders per artwork collection.

To maintain exclusivity and protect licensed businesses, no more than three (3) companies within the same industry category, product category, or business theme may hold a Production License for the same artwork.

Examples:

Possible Production License holders:

  • 2 fabric companies
  • 2 apparel brands
  • 2 bag/accessory makers
  • 2 home goods companies
  • 2 stationery companies

Not allowed:

  • 4 competing apparel brands using the same artwork
  • 4 competing fabric retailers using the same artwork

InkspireDesignsCo/Ohana reserves the right to determine whether two businesses operate within the same product category or market space for licensing purposes.


LICENSE TERMS FOR ANNUAL PRODUCTION ONLY WITH RENEWALS

The ANNUAL Production License is valid for one (1) year from the purchase date.

Permitted Uses:

• Manufacture products using purchased artwork.

• Use domestic or overseas manufacturing facilities.

• Produce products at commercial scale.

• Sell manufactured products under the licensed company name.

License Restrictions:

• License applies only to the company or individual named at purchase.

• License may not be transferred, assigned, sold, gifted, or sublicensed.

• License may not be shared with other businesses, brands, partners, subsidiaries, or third parties.

• Artwork may only be used by the licensed company.

Artwork Restrictions:

• Artwork files may not be resold.

• Artwork may not be redistributed.

• Artwork may not be uploaded to marketplaces or print-on-demand platforms.

• Artwork may not be used to create competing digital products.

• Artwork may not be altered, traced, or modified to create a competing design.

• No print-on-demand services.

No use through third-party marketplaces, print-on-demand platforms, or automated fulfillment services such as

  • Redbubble-style marketplaces
  • Amazon Merch-style programs
  • and like shops.


One License Per Business:

One active Production License covers artwork purchased by the licensed company during the active license period.

Annual Renewal for ANNUAL WHOLE SHOP

Production Licenses may be renewed annually.

Renewal pricing is available only when renewed within seven (7) calendar days after expiration.

If the renewal period expires, the company must purchase a new Production License at the current full rate.

Existing inventory manufactured during an active license period may continue to be sold after expiration. No new production may occur until the license is renewed.
