We live on a five acre farm, surrounded by another 45 acres of family owned farm. The Teenager is the fourth generation to grow up in the house we live in.
We have always eaten (mostly) healthy and we live on a farm so we do have some fitness to us.
The herbs we sell are hand-harvested by us. We do not spray the weeds (I have proof of that if you want to find the onions amongst the weeds). Our dirt is so good that when the plant tag says grows 24 inches, we know it will go to at least four feet. It is just that good.

Some of what grows, we've planted. Some of what grows, we didn't plant.
What most people see as weeds, we see as Benefactors.
Dandelions are allowed to grow in the pasture behind the barn before anything is mowed. Mullein takes hold in the edge of the garden and gets left there to grow and thrive in the mink manure put on in 2018.
These are just two of the things that grow on our land that we harvest.
Oh, and people get very objective when I harvest dandelion because there won't be enough for bees. We have four acres. I can't possibly harvest that many by hand. So the bees are safe!

November of 2017 taught us that, no matter how careful, we are not in charge. Breast cancer invaded our lives when I was diagnosed with Stage Two Breast Cancer. It was aggressive and invasive (Triple Positive).
It was a rough year with chemotherapy and surgery and radiation and more chemo. But it taught us a lot. 2018 was the year of No Lists. Our only job was getting the cancer out of my body.
We use our experience here on our site to try to help others.
