Happy New Year 2024 - Kung Hei Fat Choi 2024

New Year – a new start. It is wonderful to think that we can at least have time to reflect and review all that happened the previous year every New Year—failures and successes, happiness and sadness, victories and defeats, pains and exciting moments alike. One good thing about the New Year is the feeling that we can start all over again, regardless of what we’ve been through and the mess that we’ve done. There is always hope for a new day, a new year, and a new start. It is not too late to start afresh as long as we look forward and not backward. Move on, life must go on, press on, and be hopeful of the future. These are just a few thoughts or reminders that I would like to share with you today. As long as we are here, as long as we breathe – we can have hope for a brighter tomorrow, and we can always start anew.

Don’t let your past ruin your future and spoil your present. Don’t let the things that happened days, months, or even years ago haunt you today and stunt your growth in any area of your life. Don’t let your past define your future. Don’t let what you can’t undo derail you from what you can do today to change your future. Let me quote a popular line in Kung Fu Panda movie, “The past is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, that’s why it’s called – the present.” Enjoy each day, make the most of every day, regardless of what happened last year, leave it behind, and start anew today and throughout this New Year. I want to inspire you.

What inspired me to write this compilation of original tweets that became a book? Just an idea. Being new to Twitter, now X (it was 2013 when I wrote this book and I almost forgot about it until now, 2018), I observed how these inspiring tweets automatically reflected on my Facebook account as I posted them and were liked by people. This then inspired me to start this book.

I’ve noticed that information overload in our days is causing a short attention span for most of us. We can see that when people surf the internet. Most can't stay that long to read articles, write-ups, blogs, etc. People keep clicking, surfing, watching, and posting but how long can they read and reflect? So tweets are attractive because they are very short and easy to read, repost, or retweet.

One more thing, you have surely heard about Angry Bird and Tweety Bird. How about a Happy Bird? It's me, (Oh I’m not really a bird, I’m a full-grown human who wrote this book). Kidding aside, I do love to tweet happy and inspiring thoughts and words. Words have power. Be careful how you use yours. Life is too short to stay angry, grumpy, sour, negative, hurt, and not enjoying your day.

My motto in life has become the message of this simple book and all the books I have written, the Live a Happy Life Series, “Life is wonderful - a gift from God”. Share it to inspire others. So here I am my friend, offering this book to you. Read it slowly, digest it, and ponder upon the truth in each tweet. If you like it, share it with others, text it to your friends, post it on the internet, or retweet it.

You have 101 tweets for 101 days if you decide to meditate on one tweet a day. Then together we will be “tweeting” inspiring tweets and let’s fill social media with them. Thank you for your time, enjoy, be inspired, and turn your gloomy day into a happy day! God bless you always.
