JJ
I'm JJ — the creator of JJ Awakening. My work is rooted in lived experience: the raw beginnings, the slow release, and the quiet becoming that shaped who I am today. I know what it feels like to lose yourself inside a relationship that chips away at your confidence and your sense of reality. I know the confusion of trying to name what happened. The loneliness of rebuilding without guidance. The quiet desperation of not knowing where to begin.
I created JJ Awakening because I wanted to build the thing that would have helped me — a gentle, structured, trauma-informed space where women can understand what happened to them and begin to rebuild safely, privately, and entirely at their own pace. No pressure to perform recovery. No audience required. Just honest, grounded support for the quiet, real work of coming home to yourself.
My professional background shaped this work too. At Microsoft on behalf of Nuffield Health, I assessed mental health triage forms alongside doctors, therapists, and counsellors — learning how emotional distress presents, how people describe their pain, and how early, compassionate intervention can change everything. In Student Support at a top grammar school in Berkshire, I supported young people through anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional crisis — learning to listen deeply, respond gently, and hold space in a way that made people feel safe enough to open up.
