About Me

You have now become one of my Marked. Who am I? Why, Janae LaVeau, the architect of the world of The Written. It is the world you are about to step into. I have been creating stories since I was a young girl. Publishing my first book in Middle school. Of course, this was produced on construction paper with a marker and crayons. But even then, storytelling was in my heart and soul. It continued in high school, where I would compose short love scenes per request. I live in the Southern USA with my cat, Persephone, and son. My favorite color is blue. I am a Cancer, and I love wearing colored contacts.

Statistically speaking, you’re about to believe the very next lie I tell you. That’s why you picked up this book. Right?

It was a lie that brought Lilith Celestia — our reluctant princess — to the front doors of the DemonHunting school three years ago. It’s what she told herself every day she relentlessly hunted down and arrested every damnable demon on her roster. And it was one particular lie that made her board that damn train.

If she hadn’t, she would never have met him.

Six foot two. Blonde hair. Violet eyes. A smirk that could melt glaciers. Walking, talking sex in tight jeans.

He met her deception with his own — and just like you’d already decided whether you were taking this book home, she’d already decided exactly what kind of man he was.

She was wrong.

A humorous mix-up pitted them together instead of against each other. Forced proximity: check. Desire: check. A secret so taboo that men would kill to protect the very deception tearing them apart.

Killian Toussant awakens the side of Lilith no one has ever seen — the side that will bring her to her knees, and the side that will burn the kingdom’s oldest secret to the ground.

And the devastating lie?

ANGELS are always good. Demons are always bad.

It’s the first thing they teach you. It’s the only thing they got wrong.

So the choice is yours: believe me — or turn the page and find out what really happened.
